Does Walter Sisulu University Still Accept Late Applications for 2026?

WSU has introduced an informal late application window for 2026 after the main deadline.

These late applications are not guaranteed entry and depend on available spots within faculties.

Late applications are generally processed on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

The standard application period closed on 30 September 2025 for most programmes, and if you missed that deadline, new undergraduate applications are no longer accepted for 2026.

For postgraduate and research‑level programmes (such as certain Master’s and doctoral degrees), the closing date extended into early 2026, so some postgraduate candidates might still be able to apply if they meet the specific faculty deadlines.

For both WSU and other South African universities that accept late applications, certain documents and criteria are standard:
